Online discussion on the current pandemic at the Chinese Embassy in London

On 29th March, an online conference on combating the COVID-19 pandemic was held at the Chinese Embassy in London. It was remotely attended by over 500 participants living in different parts of the UK.

 

The event was held at the Embassy by the Shandong Province UK Joint-working Group (山东省赴英联合工作组) and attended by Ambassador Liu Xiaoming. One of the highlights of the conference was the sharing of information and China's experience on the efficacy of using traditional herbal medicine alongside western biomedicine.

 

The minutes of the meeting was taken by Huang Qi (黄琪 ), Chair of UK Chinese Youth League (英国华人青年联盟主席). The following text in Chinese is an excerpt of the minutes in relation to the use of Chinese medicine.

(一)蒋进皎——山东第一医科大学附属省立医院重症医学一科副主任

 

  1.    新冠病毒传播途径:

主要为飞沫(咳嗽、打喷嚏、说话)至粘膜,一米之内为飞沫传播距离

病毒直接接触粘膜破口(手沾染病毒后触摸口鼻)

接触到发病1-14天,大多数为3-7天

  1.    症状

常见症状:88.7%有发热,70%有干咳(无痰),乏力

不典型:感冒症状、腹泻

重症:呼吸困难-注意这些信号:呼吸困难,心慌,胸闷,血压异常

  1.    诊断:

胸部听诊异常、声音如沸水,血常规白细胞淋巴细胞降低,病毒核酸检测,胸部CT

中国1.4%死亡率,平均死亡年龄75岁

  1.    治疗:

无确切疗效药物,现有抗病毒药物初期起作用更大,24小时内用药效果最好

中药在中国抗疫中效果显著

轻症病人观察为主,多喝水,严密监测病情发展。居家隔离,充足休息,均衡饮食,观察体温及呼吸状况,可根据医生建议服用1-2种药物,留意后期容易引发细菌感染-脓性痰或鼻涕

发烧过程中呼吸越来越费劲,气不够用,及时联系医生

(二)张科——山东省疾病预防控制中心科员

 

  1.    防空关键:人人做起,坚持,保护粘膜

控制传染源、切断传播途径、保护健康人群

  1.    直接传播:飞沫,戴口罩

间接传播:勤洗手

  1.    减少外出,停止使用公共交通,停止聚会
  2.    环境卫生很重要:建议每天开窗通风一次
  3.    心理健康:规律作息,长晒太阳,室内锻炼

咳嗽发烧不等于患病,但需要及时自我隔离

 

(三)沈宁——山东中医药大学附属医院肺病科主治医师

 

  1.    中医药可以全程参与到抗疫
  2.    预防方剂:

补气运肺:黄芪等

祛湿:藿香,草果,薏仁等

  1.    治疗:清肺排毒汤

食欲不振,恶心呕吐:藿香正气

乏力发热:莲花清瘟

  1.    治未病,提高正气:注意保暖,不要熬夜,充足睡眠,均衡饮食,乐观积极

穴位:迎香,合谷,足三里,大椎等

饮食调控:清淡,适量增加蛋白质维生素,多饮水,少吃生冷油腻

怕冷:阴寒体制,多吃生姜红糖大枣

便秘:蜂蜜香蕉
